Automated publishing of Instagram videos is supported by Swat.io.
The publishing of a video can take a considerable amount of time – up to 20 minutes. This is due to Instagram's API having to check and process the video once Swat.io passed it on.
Swat.io is continuously checking if the publication of the video succeeded. If Swat.io does not receive a positive response after 20 minutes, the post is marked as "not successfully published" in its activity log.
From the point in time where a video is transmitted to Instagram's API for publishing, Swat.io does not have any more influence over what happens to or with this video. Swat.io can not stop the processing then nor delete the video from Instagram's queue – if processing succeeds, the video will appear online.
In some cases, the processing of the video fails for undisclosed reasons. This might be the case if your video e.g. contains copyrighted music. Instagram does not communicate the reasons for such failures back to Swat.io.
Please therefore make sure that the publication of your video succeeded manually. If there is any trouble, please try republishing the video after allowing a considerable amount of time (about an hour) to pass. Alternatively, you may publish the video directly through the Instagram app. Our support team is available to help you with any questions.
There are strict requirements for size, duration and format of a video by Instagram. They are listed in the info box in Swat.io's post composer where the video is to be downloaded. It is mandatory to fully adhere to these restrictions in order for a video to be published successfully.
Please notice that at the moment only Videos can be posted, there is currently no API for IGTV or Reels!
