In order to receive Instagram direct messages in your inbox, the following requirements need to be met:

  • The Instagram account connected to needs to be a business account

  • The token of the Instagram connection in should not have been set earlier than on the 29th July 2021. Information on resetting the access token can be found here;

  • Access to messages needs to be activated in the instagram-app itself linked to the desired channel.

To get there, please follow the path shown below:

Open the connected instagram-app

➥ Go to settings

➥ Privacy

➥ Messages

➥ Check if "Allow access to messages" is enabled in the Connected tools section

Once this has been enabled your Instagram direct messages should arrive in your inbox as of that time.
