Ticket deletion as per GDPR

Here, you will find options to define the retention period for tickets in the inbox as per the GDPR

Where to find this option

Info: In order to access the workspace-settings in Swat.io, you need permissions as “workspace manager”. In case you don’t have this permission, please contact your Swat.io administrator.

  1. Open the general “Workspace Settings” by clicking on your account name in the bottom left corner and opening the settings.

  2. Navigate to the “Delete tickets” section.

Automate ticket deletion

With that option you can define after which period tickets should get deleted automatically - for example, for data protection reasons. Please note that the maximum retention period depends on your current Swat.io plan:

  • Small: Up to 1 year of data storage

  • Medium: Maximum of 2 years data storage

  • Large and Custom plans: Unlimited data storage

Options for restricting these periods:

  • None: Tickets are not automatically deleted (see maximum retention period).

  • Based on last interaction: Swat.io automatically deletes tickets, if the last activity (incoming message or user action) exceeds a defined timeframe.

  • Based on creation date: Automatically deletes tickets once a certain timeframe since the initial ticket creation date is reached.

Important: Deleted tickets cannot be restored. This also includes all associated statistics (e.g. interactions, community metrics, ...).
