Set up email forwarding for Gmail/GSuite

This article will guide you step by step through the process of setting up email forwarding in Gmail/GSuite.

1. Copy the inbound email address from the channel settings in Swat.io, which was generated automatically. When messages are forwarded to this address, Swat.io can subsequently receive them and present them as a ticket.

2. Switch to Gmail, go to Settings and click on "Access all settings".

3. Switch to the "Forwarding & POP/IMAP" tab and click on "Add forwarding address".

4. Paste the inbound email address you copied from the channel settings into the pop-up window and click "Next". After that, another pop-up window will open, where you still need to click "Continue".

5. Open the verification email directly in Swat.io in the tickets of your new email channel, which you should have received now.

6. Click on the verification link in the ticket and then on "Confirm" in the new tab.

7. Now go back to the Gmail settings and reload the page. You should now see the email address you just confirmed. To enable forwarding, select "Forward incoming emails to ..." and click "Save changes" at the bottom.

8. Go back to the channel settings and click the "Verify email forwarding" button. Reload the page after a few minutes and check if the status is now changed to verified.

Now you have successfully set up email forwarding and receive all emails as tickets in Swat.io. emails as tickets in Swat.io as well.
