Why is the Authenticator App important?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) significantly increases the security of your account. In addition to your password, you'll also need a code from an authenticator app which is giving your login an extra layer of protection.

How to set up 2FA

  • Go to your settings
In Swat.io, navigate to AccountProfile Info.

  • Select Two-Factor Authentication
Click the “Enable 2FA” button to begin the setup process.

  • Install an Authenticator App
Download an authenticator app on your smartphone. You can use any of the following:

    • Google Authenticator

    • Microsoft Authenticator

    • Authy

    • LastPass

    • Duo Mobile

GIF which helps you navigate through the settings towards the 2FA

  • Scan the QR Code

Open the app on your smartphone and scan the QR code displayed in Swat.io. This code appears after clicking “Enable 2FA”.

  • Enter the Code

After scanning, your app will generate a 6-digit code. Enter this code in the Security Settings on Swat.io to complete the 2FA activation.

Save your Recovery Codes

Once activated, you'll receive 10 recovery codes. Store them in a safe place – they'll help you access your account if your phone is lost or the app stops working.

Note: If all recovery codes are used, you can generate new ones in the settings. You’ll receive an email notification each time a code is used, so you can keep track of how many are still active.
