In this article you’ll learn how to block and unblock a user directly in Swat.io—where platform APIs allow it.
Blocking users in Swat.io
If the API of the respective social media platform supports it, you can block a user right from the ticket. Hover over the user’s name in the ticket and then click the “Block” button.
Advantage of this method: The activity log records both the time of the block and the name of the team member who performed it. You can find a more detailed explanation of the activity log here.
Supported channels for blocking
Facebook (private conversations & public comments)
YouTube
Note: Due to API limitations, blocking directly in Swat.io is currently not possible for:
Instagram
LinkedIn
X
TikTok
Bluesky
Threads
Unblocking a User
If a user was previously blocked via Swat.io and the platform supports it, you can also unblock them again. Hover over the user’s name in the ticket and click the “Unblock” button.
Important: This function is only supported for Facebook. On YouTube, users must be unblocked directly on the platform itself.
