Add WhatsApp Channel in Swat.io
Once the setup is complete:
Open your Workspace Settings in Swat.io.
Click on "Channels".
Use the "Add Channel" button (top right).
Choose "WhatsApp" as channel type.
You will be redirected to MessengerPeople’s portal after accepting the terms.
There, confirm the integration with Swat.io.
Receive & reply to messages
Once integrated, you’ll see your WhatsApp channel in the Swat.io Inbox.
Each WhatsApp conversation will appear as a ticket, and you can respond directly within Swat.io.
Important: WhatsApp only allows replies within 24 hours of receiving a message.
After that, it is no longer possible to reply via Swat.io.
Anonymizing Incoming Messages
Workspace admins can anonymize WhatsApp messages so user phone numbers are hidden in the Inbox and ticket exports.
Steps:
Go to Workspace Settings.
Under "Inbox" → "Channels", select your WhatsApp channel.
Enable or disable "Show phone numbers".
Note: WhatsApp is only available in the Swat.io Inbox.
The Swat.io Publisher does not support WhatsApp as bulk messaging is not allowed.
