Boosted Instagram-Posts
A “boosted Instagram post” is a regular post on Instagram that is promoted for a certain period of time for a fee to increase its reach. Instagram shows these posts to a larger and more targeted audience in order to generate more interactions, likes and comments. Comments on such posts are imported into Swat.io and marked as such in the inbox:
When the ticket detail is opened, the “Promotion” section is visible in the ticket info on the right above the activity log. “Boosted” is highlighted in green for the relevant tickets:
As visible in the screenshot, the comments on these posts are divided into two tabs. This happens because after promoting the post on Instagram, it receives a second post ID from Instagram, allowing us to split up the comments as following:
Comments on the organic post will still be available if the post with the organic post ID is commented on directly by users.
Comments on the boosted post with the additional post ID for the promoted content can only be found under the 'Boosted Post' tab. These come from the targeted ads of the extended and specifically selected target group.
Instagram Dark-Ads
The import of comments on Instagram dark-ads is a feature specifically for our enterprise-, medium- and large-packages.
An “Instagram Dark Ad” is a targeted ad that does not appear on the advertiser's public profile. Instead, it is displayed to specific target groups based on their interests and habits on Instagram. These ads are not visible to everyone and are used to target specific markets or demographic groups. Tickets for these posts are marked as such in the inbox:
When the ticket is opened in detail, the “Promotion” section is visible in the ticket info on the right above the activity log. “Dark Ad” is highlighted in green for the relevant tickets:
