How should a GIF be scheduled in a planned post in Publisher to ensure it is displayed correctly? Is it possible to reply to a comment with a GIF in Inbox?

Swat.io distinguishes between using GIFs in comments and in scheduled posts.
In this article, you'll learn what is supported on each platform - and what to keep in mind when planning your content.

Publishing GIFs as Posts or integrating it into a post in Publisher

  • Facebook: Does not support the format in posts

  • X: Yes, via direct upload as image

  • LinkedIn: Yes, via direct upload as image

Other social media platforms do not support publishing GIFs via their API for post publishing.

Using GIFs in Comments (Tickets) in Inbox

  • Facebook Comments: Paste and publish the URL to the GIF as a comment

  • Facebook Private Messages: Paste and publish the URL, but only the link will be sent - the GIF itself won’t be rendered

  • X: Paste the URL to the GIF in the comment field - the GIF will be displayed correctly on X, but only the link will be visible in Swat.io

Other social media platforms do not support GIFs in comments via their API for community management purposes.
