In this article, you will find out how to connect a YouTube channel to Swat.io.
Info: In order to access the workspace settings or to add a new channel in Swat.io, you need permissions as "workspace manager". In case you don't have this permission, please reach out to a workspace manager or Swat.io Admin in your organization.
Adding the channel
In order to connect a YouTube channel to Swat.io, follow these steps:
Open the general "Workspace Settings" by clicking on your account name in the bottom-left corner;
Navigate to the "Channels" section;
Click the "Add Channel" button in the top-right corner;
In the "Main channels" section select "YouTube";
In the following pop-up, you will need accept Swat.io's General Terms and Conditions, the YouTube Terms of Service, as well as the Google Privacy Policy;
Now sign in with the Google account that is linked to the YouTube channel you want to add or confirm the correct account if you’re already signed in in your browser;
In the next step, grant Swat.io the necessary permissions on YouTube to post and manage content, as well as to retrieve comments;
After confirming the permissions, you’ll be redirected back to Swat.io, where you can select the YouTube channel you want to connect.
After confirming the data, the integration is complete and your newly added channel will immediately appear in the channel list of the workspace in the Publisher (optionally also in the Inbox). From there, you can start creating your first post right away.
