In this article, you’ll learn how to connect a Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) as an inbox-channel to Swat.io.
Info: In order to access the workspace settings or to add a new channel in Swat.io, you need permissions as "workspace manager". In case you don't have this permission, please reach out to a workspace manager or Swat.io Admin in your organization.
Adding a channel
To add a Google Business profile to Swat.io, follow these steps:
Open the general "Workspace Settings" by clicking on your account name in the bottom-left corner;
Navigate to the "Channels" section;
Click the "Add Channel" button in the top-right corner;
In the list of the "inbox only" channels, select "Google Business";
In the following pop-up, you will be asked to agree to the terms of service of both Swat.io and Google;
You’ll be prompted to sign in with a Google account linked to the Google Business account you want to connect. Choose the appropriate account and, in the next step, confirm the permissions shown to grant Swat.io access;
After granting the permissions, you’ll be redirected back to Swat.io and you’ll now see the Google Business channel to be selected. Click "Add" to complete the process.
