In order to assign specific access rights to your team in Swat.io, you can define different user roles on a granular basis. These roles determine exactly which areas and features each user can access and which actions they are allowed to perform within the organisation in Swat.io.

Which areas in Swat.io do the user roles cover?

User roles can be assigned separately for Inbox, Publisher and Analytics:

  • Inbox: Permissions for community management and ticket handling.

  • Publisher: Permissions for content creation and publishing.

  • Analytics / Reports: Permissions for viewing and creating custom statistics

Quick Tip: You can find detailed information about the specific roles here:

Granular Channel Permissions

If a team member is only responsible for Inbox or Publisher, you can assign permissions exclusively for that area. The unassigned area will be completely hidden for that user.

For even greater flexibility, you can assign user rights on a per-channel basis. This allows team members to focus on specific platforms or channels.

πŸ” Example: A user should only manage community interactions on Facebook? Then simply assign Inbox access for that one channel.

Analytics

Permissions for accessing analytics (statistics) can be granted globally or per channel. This allows team members to view statistics only for selected channels or gain full access to the overall analytics section.

Special Roles Explained

Workspace Manager

Workspace Managers have full access to all workspace settings. It is not possible to assign this role on a per-channel basis β€” it always applies to the entire workspace. This role:

  • Can add new channels and reset tokens

  • Manage team members

  • Change user roles

Agency Member

Info: This feature is included in our Medium-, Large-, and Custom-packages. For more details about the packages and the features they include, see here.

Agency members can assign agency-level rights to other team members. Activities of agency members are not visible in the activity log β€” unless they are also added to the agency team.
