Requirements
In order to connect a public Facebook Page as a channel to Swat.io, the following requirements must be met:
The page must be published at the time of connection
If your page is unpublished when trying to connect it, the connection will fail. After a successful integration, you can set the page to "invisible" or private again.You must be logged into a Facebook account that has admin rights for the page
Only administrators can generate the access token. If access is revoked, the token must be regenerated.Optional cookies from Facebook must be enabled
Go to the cookie settings at facebook.com/settings/cookie and ensure that optional cookies are enabled. This is the only way the access token remains valid and usable over time.
Info: In order to access the workspace settings or to add a new channel in Swat.io, you need permissions as "workspace manager". In case you don't have this permission, please reach out to a workspace manager or Swat.io Admin in your organization.
Adding the channel
In order to connect a Facebook page to Swat.io, follow these steps:
Open the general "Workspace Settings" by clicking on your account name in the bottom-left corner;
Navigate to the "Channels" section;
Click the "Add Channel" button in the top-right corner;
In the "Main channels" section select "Facebook";
In the following pop-up, agree to the General Terms and Conditions of Swat.io, the Facebook Terms of Service, the Facebook Community Standards and the Facebook Advertising Policies.
Make sure you are logged into Facebook with an account, which is admin on the page you want to connect.
In the following popup select the desired Facebook Page and click “Add Channel.”
The setup is now complete and your newly added channel now appears in the channel list of the Publisher (and optionally in the inbox) in your workspace, where you can start creating your first post immediately.
