Monitoring channels allow you to specifically search for content on social media or the internet using predefined keywords. This can be useful for tracking brands, competitors or specific current topics. Results from monitoring queries are automatically added to your Swat.io inbox, where each query can be selected as own channel in the left-hand navigation bar.
What is a monitoring channel?
A monitoring channel scans public posts on social media platforms like Facebook or X, as well as web pages in general, for specific search terms you can define yourself. Results will then be imported as tickets into Swat.io. This offers the following benefits:
Real-time monitoring of brand or campaign mentions;
Competitor tracking;
Crisis monitoring;
Monitoring of recent events and it's popularity.
Note: Our monitoring-feature can be purchased as an add-on to our Large- and Custom-plans. You can find more details on the packages and the included features here.
Which content can be found?
Public posts on social media platforms;
Well-known / frequently visited websites, blogs or newspapers
Additionally, it is possible to include specific websites in the monitoring upon request.
Restrictions
For results to be found by monitoring queries, the following criteria must be met:
The content must be publicly visible. Content behind a paywall will not be found;
Content from non-public social media groups cannot be imported;
For each Social Media you want to monitor in your query, you need to have added at least one regular channel of the respective social media added to Swat.io.
