The Tags section in the Swat.io Insights Explorer allows you to analyze your content based on assigned tags. Here you gain insight into the performance and usage of your structured content.

What is analyzed?

The Tags overview in the Explorer is based on the tags assigned to posts in Swat.io. These can either be assigned manually or as of our Medium-plan onwards, automatically assigned through automations with built-in keyword recognition.

The focus is on analyzing content based on its thematic categorization. This allows you to understand how specific topics, campaigns or content types perform. You gain insight into:

  • the performance of tagged posts

  • the number of posts per assigned tag

  • the development of individual tags over time

Available metrics

Tag performance

  • Performance of posts that have been assigned a specific tag.

Number of posts per tag

  • Number of published posts per assigned tag within the selected time period.

Comparison options

  • Comparison of performance between different tags.

  • Comparison of usage frequency of individual tags.

You can find answers to the following questions

  • Which topics perform particularly well?

  • How frequently was a specific tag used?

  • Which tags generate the most interactions?

  • Do certain topics develop positively or negatively over time?

Filters & customization

A detailed explanation of all available filter options can be found in the article
"Insights Explorer: Overview & Features".

Note: Not all filters are available for every widget and certain post-related filters can only be applied to specific widgets (e.g. the "post type" filter used in the "follower growth widget").

Transfer to dashboards

From our Medium plan onwards, it is also possible to transfer any widget from this view directly into an individual dashboard using the currently selected filters. The selected time range, channels and active filters are automatically applied.

You can find more information in the article: "Individual Dashboards: Create, Manage & Reporting".

Good to know

  • This analysis is based exclusively on correctly assigned tags.

  • If posts aren't tagged, they will not appear in this analysis.

  • The performance data of tagged posts is provided directly by the connected social networks.

Quick tip: An explanation as well as any platform-specific limitations are indicated in the tooltip (i) of each widget.
